Kitesurfing Lessons Hamptons

Why the Hamptons is a hidden kitesurfing gem?

I know I know the hamptons... Where do we start?

It's the spot to be for the summer if you can make your way out east to enjoy the beautiful beaches and waves. Some people come here for the amazing restaurants, others might enjoy the relaxed lifestyle while getting away from the big apple. It's where your favorite celebrities all call home in the summer and of course the parties that fill your eyes in the daily news while you check out at the local grocery store.

Thats not what brings us the hamptons though. We are chasing the wind and when the condition align out here its some of the best kitesurfing you can have anywhere in the world.

Montauk might have surfing. But did you know that there is over a dozen amazing spots to kitesurf and now wingfoil across all of Long Island.

What really gets me excited about the kiteboarding in the hamptons is the access to flat, butter smooth water! Some spots offer shallow water which makes learning to kitesurf in the hamptons much easier. The ability to stand up after a fall or to walk back upwind when learning only makes the whole learning process faster.

Looking to spicy things up a bit? How about a 25 mile downwinder along the white sand beaches! You might be like, what language are you talking? I get it... You can go with the wind and surf your way from point A to B using nothing but wind your kite and a board on your feet! Jumping off waves from Southhampton all the way to Bridgehampton. Feeling crazy? East Hampton is only another 10 miles or so and makes for an amazing ride.

Some people enjoy getting there miles in at run club or maybe on the Saturday bike ride. But if you're looking for your next challenge that'll easily beat any story told at your club this is the sport!

For Hugo and Drew the owners at Atlantic Boardsports, you won't find anyone getting more miles then them out on the water!
